1 – 20: Use the clues to complete the crossword puzzle with words from The Canterville Ghost Glossary. (3 points each)

26 – 30: Choose words from the box to fill in the missing words in the sentences below.  Do not use any words more than once; you 

               will not use all of the words. (4 points each) 

Part II: Reading Comprehension

1 – 20: Choose names from the box to fill in the missing names in the sentences below. You will need to use some names more than one time.   (3 points each)

21 – 25: Choose the best answer for each question.  (4 points each) 

26 – 30: Who said it? Match each quotes with the name of the person who said it in the story.  (4 points each)

Part III: Writing

Instructions:

• Write one paragraph with 7 to 10 complete sentences that answers the following question:

• It’s an opinion* writing.  Explain* how your opinion changed or did not change.    (*觀點 *解釋)

• Follow proper paragraph writing style. (topic sentences; supporting sentences; concluding sentence) 

• Use proper grammar and punctuation. (commas, periods, questions marks, exclamations, etc.) 

• You may use the back of this paper to make notes or prepare a plan for what you will write.
  

  Listening Test

  All Questions are worth 4 points

  Questions 1 - 7 Read the questions. Eva is at the market speaking to Milan. Write the best answer on the line. You will hear the audio twice. 

   

  Questions 8 - 12 Listen to the audio and write the correct name on the line. Is the information true for Kate or is it true for Spiros? 

   

  Questions 13 - 17 Listen to the conversation between Spiros and Kate again. Answer the questions based on if they are True (T),  False (F), or Not Given (NG).

  Questions 18 - 25 Listen to the podcast conversation between Miriam and the host. Fill in the blanks by listening for the weak sounds and unstressed words. You will hear the audio twice.
